ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS The Amazing Life of Jesus Christ is based on the outstanding scholarly works of those who, through the centuries, have endeavored to put the life of Jesus Christ in chronological order. Using excerpts from the four Gospels, the events are placed during the time they most likely occurred. Although it is difficult to be absolutely certain of the following order of events, what is certain is that each event took place. We are indebted to those who have done the hard work of placing the events in order, such as John MacArthur, Robert L. Thomas, Stanley N. Gundry, Johnston M. Cheney and others. Dr. Dwight Pentecost’s and Dr. Oswald Sanders’ works on Jesus were tremendously helpful as well. A very special note of appreciation to the Lockman Foundation for giving us permission to use Scripture from the New American Standard Version and to B&H Publishing Group for the use of the maps taken from The Holman Bible Atlas. I first met Leslie Strader several years ago at a leadership conference given by Dallas Theological Semi- nary. I was immediately impressed with her knowledge of Scripture and her joy for life. Years later, I invited her to come to a planning retreat with the board of Big Dream Ministries. This time I was impressed with her creativity and insights. When I found out she was a writer for a ministry magazine, I knew right away I wanted her to author the workbook for The Amazing Life of Jesus Christ. I will be forever grateful for that chance meeting in Dallas, and so appreciate her willingness to work with us on this study.
